Lemon Verdelli (Organic) - 200g Please wash before use. The Verdelli lemon has the fresh, tart flavour typical of lemons, but it has some unique characteristics due to it being harvested during the hot summer months. At the start of the new summer season their skin is green however the high temperatures of the summer can break down the chlorophyll in the skin, which in turn cause the lemon to retain the green hues even when ripened. As the season progresses, and the temperatures change, their skin takes on a yellow-green hue. Verdelli lemons add tartness, freshness, and aroma to dishes and beverages.
