Red onions are medium to large bulbs with purplish-red outer skin and white flesh tinged with red. They are round to slightly oval in shape, with firm, crisp layers that combine white and purple rings, which look great when thinly sliced and added to salads. Red onions are sweeter and less pungent, making them ideal for raw consumption in salads, sandwiches, and salsas. Grown by us at Tewin Greens, chemical free.
